By simply purchasing this product, you too are ensuring these traditions, knowledge and customs are kept alive. If you identify as Irish or have Irish ancestry, this plant is your kin and we want to do all we can to ensure the native plants and habitats of Ireland remain. That's why 50% of net profits from this balm are donated to support Hometree.
Hometree is a nature restoration charity, based in the west of Ireland. They work to establish and restore resilient habitats, focusing on native temperate rainforests and their approach integrates community, culture, science and natural systems. Through afforestation, conservation, restoration and education Hometree hope to nourish the landscape and create new ways for communities to relate to nature.
Each year Gimiyala also supports the wider local Irish community with balm donations to Irish Elders and wisdom keepers, local schools, community centres, age care centres and more. Keeping the knowledge and trust in native plants alive with the local community and younger generations is one of our core company values. It is through your support we make this happen.
